TODAY IS THE OPENING OF THE EXHIBITION “GERNIKA(K)/GUERNICA(S)

Today, on May the 23rd, at 1:30 P.M. we will start the Poster Exhibition for the International Congress ‘Gernika(k)/ Guernica(s). Resemanticisations of a historical trauma, organized by the research group MHLI in collaboration with the Faculty of Fine Arts of the UPV/EHU.

The exhibition will be open from May the 20th to 31st at the Faculty and from June the 1st to 16th at the Euskal Herria Museum in Gernika. The exhibition has been coordinated by Eneritz Amondarain, Laura Alvarez and Tania Quindos, professors of the Graphic Design course of the Degree in Creation and Design (UPV/EHU).

3 groups of the subject “Graphic Design” of the Degree in Creativity and Design participated in the creation of posters to select the poster for the International Congress Gernika(k)/Guernica(s). Resemanticisations of a historical trauma. Taking into account the number of posters presented and the quality of the works, during the days of the Congress we have decided to exhibit the works in an exhibition, and, for this purpose, we have organized an exhibition at the Euskal Herria Museum in Gernika.

Among the posters on display, you will have the opportunity to see the poster by Amets Leria, author of the Congress poster, who will give a presentation on the creation of her poster at the exhibition itself.
