“Cultural and artistic heritage in times of war” conferences in Gernika

On the 29th and 30th of April, on the occasion of the 88th anniversary of the Bombing of Gernika, the Gernika Peace Museum Foundation has organised the conferences “Cultural and artistic heritage in times of war”.

On the 13th and 14th of June in 2024, the MHLI research group, in collaboration with, among others, the Gernika Peace Museum Foundation, held the international congress Gernika(k)/Guernica(s): Resemanticisations of a historical trauma. On the 29th and 30th of April, to commemorate the 88th anniversary of the bombing of Gernika, the same Foundation will be analysing the actions carried out to protect heritage during armed conflicts.
