Today, April the 26th, at 11:30 AM, the member of MHLI Izaro Arroita (professor and researcher at the UPV/EHU), will attend the conference Literatura i conflictes armats to be held at the University of Barcelona.

Literatura i conflictes armats [Literature and armed conflicts] is part of the Literaldia 23 festival, organized by the Euskal Etxea of Barcelona in collaboration with the Drassanes Official Language School, the Autonomous University of Barcelona and the University of Barcelona. The project, which began on April the 13th and will run through May the 5th, aims to give voice to the Basque literature that lives and is consumed in Barcelona: “dedicat a la literatura vasca de l’Euskal Herria d’avui” [“dedicated to the Basque literature of contemporary Basque Country”].
The Literatura i conflictes armats conference, to be held in the professor room of the Faculty of Philology and Communication of the University of Barcelona, is one of the events organized for that purpose. Izaro Arroita will participate in this event with a paper entitled “Conflict, memory and transmission in the work of Ramón Saizarbitoria”, to talk about Saizarbitoria’s literary universe from the point of view of memory studies. Experts such as Ibon Egaña, Ibai Atutxa or Elena Losada will participate in the event.
