Last week was held in Donostia-San Sebastian the summer course Arantxa Urretabizkaiaren unibertso literarioa: desira eta boterea helduaroan [The literary universe of Arantxa Urretabizkaia: desire and power in maturity], directed by Mari Jose Olaziregi, MHLI principal investigator and professor at the UPV/EHU, in collaboration with Joana Sabadell professor at the Hamilton College.
This summer course was held on July the 4th and 5th, at the Miramar Palace in Donostia-San Sebastian, and the work of Arantxa Urretabizkaia was the main protagonist during those days. Mari Jose Olaziregi, principal investigator of MHLI, was there, not only as director, but also as a lecturer, who gave a lecture entitled Arantxa Urretabizkaiaren ‘Azken etxea’. Bizitza berri bat zahartzaroan [Azken etxea of Arantxa Urretabizkaia. A new life in old age].

Olaziregi was joined by experts such as Mari Luz Esteban (UPV/EHU) and María Pilar Rodríguez (University of Deusto) from local universities, as well as professors and researchers from foreign universities such as Anna Freixas (University of Cordoba) and Meri Torras (Autonomous University of Barcelona). Arantxa Urretabizkaia herself was also present to talk about her work and writing under the title Arantxa Urretabizkaia: Zahartzarotik/zahartzaroaz idaztea [Arantxa Urretabizkaia: Writing from old age].
