Tomorrow, on May the 14th, at 11 A.M., in the auditorium of the San Sebastian campus of the University of Deusto, will be held the presentation of the doctoral thesis of Joan Mari Torrealdai, organized jointly by Jakin, the University of Deusto and MHLI research group. Mari Jose Olaziregi, principal investigator of MHLI research group, will be there.

The journal Jakin has digitalized the doctoral thesis of Joan Mari Torrealdai and has published it in book format with the original title: La censura gubernativa y el libro vasco, 1936-1983. Análisis de los informes del Lectorado. On the occasion of this publication, a day of presentation and homage to Torrealdai’s work will be held tomorrow, on May the 14th, at 11 A.M., in the auditorium of the San Sebastian campus of the University of Deusto.

The event will be opened by Elixabete Perez (University of Deusto), Mari Jose Olaziregi (UPV/EHU) and Joanmari Larrarte (Jakin Foundation). Next, Lorea Agirre (director of Jakin) and Xabier Eizagirre (editor-in-chief of Jakin) will speak under the title “Joan Mari Torrealdairen ekarpena eta haren doktore tesia: : La censura gubernativa y el libro vasco, 1936-1983. Análisis de los informes del Lectorado”. Josu Bijuesca, professor-researcher at the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences of the University of Deusto, will take the floor next to talk about: “Zentsurari buruzko jakin-minaz harago: Torrealdairen ikerketa lana konpromisoaren zerbitzura”. Mari Jose Olaziregi will close the day under the title “MHLI ikertaldea: zentsura eta euskal edizioari buruzko ikerketak Torrealdairen ildoan”.
